Prior to joining GSBB, Mr. Gerard was an Executive Director of Business Risk Services and Internal Audit in Ernst & Young’s Pacific South West region where he led some of the firm’s largest projects. During his 8 years with E&Y, Mr. Gerard served as the Area SOX 404 Methodology Champion and the Enterprise Risk Management service line leader. Mr. Gerard’s other prior work experience includes Madison Square Garden (Controller), Warner Music Group (Director of Finance and Accounting), Paramount Pictures (Director – TV Finance), Paramount Communications (Internal Audit Manager), as well as Arthur Anderson (Senior Financial Auditor).
A graduate of the State University of New York at Albany, Mr. Gerard earned his Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Accounting and Business Administration.
Mr. Gerard is a Certified Public Accountant in California and New York and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York Society of CPAs and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Mr. Gerard serves as an active member of the University of Albany Alumni Mentor Program and serves on the Board of Directors for the Ernst & Young LLP Alumni Association of Southern California.
